Iran, Armenia sign cooperation agreement

Tehran, 9/28/2015, IRNA – Iran and Armenia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the museums of the two countries on the sidelines of Persepolis photo exhibition in Yerevan.
The MoU was signed by Head of Iran’s ICOM (International Council of Museums) Seyed Mohammad Beheshti, who is head of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Research Center, and Head of Armenian ICOM Mr. Gorjian.
According to the MoU, the two sides are obliged to hold exhibitions and training courses related to cultural heritage in the two states.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition which coincided with International Museum Day In Europe, Beheshti underlined the historical background of Iran and Armenia and their role in expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of culture.
He said that Persepolis is a common heritage of both countries.
