The international tourism fair, Fitur 2018, is being held from January 17 to 21 in Madrid, Spain. The fair is an opportunity for travel industry professionals, tour operators, hotels, airlines and car rental companies to present and share the latest proposals, destinations and news of tourism world. Many business meetings will be held in the 5 days of its run and agents in tourism industry will establish lines of work which set their program for the whole year.
Last year, 9,893 companies from 165 countries/regions, 135,838 trade contributors and 109,134 visitors participated in the show. The participation has grown by 13% this year. 23 tour operators and a craftsman would show their products and services in Iran pavilion to promote Iran tourism industry as well.
With the aim of attracting 20 million tourists by 2025, the ICHHTO, Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization is seeking to introduce Iran tourism products worldwide and get the supports of UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This was also the aim of Monesan, the ICHHTO chief who met Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of UNWTO and Alvaro Nadal, the Spanish Minister for Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda this Thursday!
The emphasis of the 38th edition of the trade show, is on sustainability and new technologies. The actions being undertaken by countries, businesses and institutions to contribute to improving the environment and also the latest technological developments will be shown in this Fitur 2018.
