Shiraz hostels are kind of a monument themselves. Imagine staying at a hundred-years-old house with colorful windows and beautiful yard. Surprisingly, you don’t need to spend much money to stay in these hostels. Here are five best cheap hostels in Shiraz with positive reviews and also close to the major attractions. Bear in mind that most of these places are old houses converted to hostels and different from top-end boutique hotels.

Savushun (Souvashon) Hostel
This hostel is one of the cheapest properties in Shiraz. Savushun is located in Shiraz historical district and obviously close to many historical sites such as, Narenjestan Garden, Zinat ol-Molk House, Nasir al-Molk Mosque and Shah-e Cheragh Shrine. You can see artistic taste in design in every corner of Savushun Hostel even in the rooms. The important part, is that there are no beds in rooms and you have to sleep on mattresses which are clean by the way, and you feel exactly living like the old residents of the house. The rooms have no private bathroom and toilet and you need to use public ones in the yard.
This hostel is described as “friendly host”. Kind and companionable staff make you feel like at home. Not only you can find Iranian friends in Taha Hostel, but also you can meet people from other nationalities. Small buffet breakfast would be available every morning from 7 to 9 A.M. and also free tea, coffee and fruit is served during the day.
You can have easy access to Shiraz tourist attractions like Vakil Mosque and Bazaar, Narenjestan Garden, Nasir al-Molk Mosque. Taha Hostel is also an old house renovated into a traditional guesthouse with wooden doors and windows. Rooms with private bathroom and toilet are available but cost around 5 euros higher than bed-only rooms. You can use free Wi-Fi everywhere in the hostel.
Sirah is a newly opened hostel with 6 rooms and a capacity of 15 guests. Indeed, this accommodation is another old house renovated into a hostel in Shiraz. The Sirah hostel’s location is its advantage as you can easily walk to Nasir al-Molk Mosque or Vakil Complex. There is a kitchen and café on the rooftop where you can enjoy different kinds of drinks and the beautiful view of Shiraz so don’t forget to bring your camera!
The hostel has a beautiful courtyard where guests can gather, meet, chat and enjoy fresh air. You have internet access everywhere in the hostel. Breakfast is not eye-catching but considering the price all in all it worth it.
Khane Bagh Irani
This hostel probably has the largest courtyard among all hostels in Shiraz; you can walk in this beautiful garden and relax while you are in the middle of hustle and bustle of Shiraz city center. This building belonged to Sheykh Bahaoldin Mahalati, famous scholar of Shiraz, and has converted to a hostel recently.
You can have buffet breakfast every day and the hostel’s restaurant serves you different types of delicious local foods for lunch and dinner. Surprisingly, this restaurant is designed as a nomadic tent. There is also a café named “Sharbatkhaneh” in the garden where guests can enjoy drinking local beverages.
The hostel has different types of room with different capacities named after some Iranian literary figures, such as, Nima Youshij. If you don’t’ like using public bathroom and toilet, you should mention it at the time of making your reservation because not all the rooms have private ones.
The Khane Bagh Irani Hostel has private parking lot but it is needed to be booked in advance. The free Wi-Fi internet is available everywhere in hotel.
Golshan is another low-priced hostel in Shiraz, located within walking distance of the attractions like Shah-e Cheragh Holy Shrine and Narenjestan Garden. This house has a traditional style and beautiful courtyard.
The rooms are in three types of double, triple and family. Mind that not all the rooms have private bathroom and toilet. There is a little fridge in most of the rooms and free Wi-Fi internet is accessible in all areas.
You can have local drinks in the hostel’s tea house or relax around the beautiful tiny pool in the middle of the courtyard.
