The building of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, built in 70s, will be renovated in the following months. The chief manager of the museum, Ali Mohammad Zare, also added that the concrete building first built to show 600-1000 artworks, now have more than 4000 works. The 40-year-old building had been repaired twice before, once in 70s and then in 80s, however it has to be renovated to add additional parts for sculptures (previously displayed in the garden) and a maintenance room to repair the artworks.
Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art representing both modern and traditional architecture shows the works of art by many contemporary Iranian and international artists like Pollock, Rothko, de Koning, Giacometti, and Picasso. The museum exhibits different art works like photos, paintings, sculptures, and drawings. There are also art exhibitions at the museum from time to time.

As the artworks will remain in the museum during this time, there will be no exhibition of these pieces in other places.
